Description

Tongue tie is a band attaching the tongue’s underside to the floor of mouth. Presence of a tongue tie can impair tongue mobility affecting breast feeding. If left untreated into childhood it will affect a tongue-tied baby’s ability to eat, speak and swallow. Tongue tie can be treated with a surgical cut to release the band.
